On 25 September 2022, the people and cantons accepted the OASI 21 reform, thereby guaranteeing financing of OASI pensions and the level of pensions for the next ten years.
The retirement age for both men and women will be 65, and collecting pensions will be made more flexible.
At the same time, value-added tax (VAT) will be increased slightly from 7.7% to 8.1%.
These changes came into force on 1 January 2024.
